Action Films Target Audience.

From this table we can see that more men go to see action films than women do as the male gender percentage is at 67% whereas the female percentage is at 33%. Action films would appeal more to men because of the explosives and 'manly' content that the directors insert in to each film.

The average age range for the viewing an action film is fifteen to twenty four as the percentage is at 39%. Action films wouldn't be suitable for children under fifteen because of the violence and swearing within the films.

More higher class people watch action films than the lower classes do as their percentage is at thirty five percent and the other class bands are below thirty percent. This suggests that the cost of a ticket to see an action film could be more expensive than others.

What are you doing here?

What are you doing here?

This is the first video that our media group has produced. We were given the twenty five minute task of creating three or more clips of a character saying 'What are you doing here?' which is shown above.

The only words spoken throughout the whole video are the words 'What are you doing here?' There is also the slight sound of the wind and outside life included in the video which we would improve to cut that out in the future.

We filmed all of our clips within the school grounds. Our first clip, the over the shoulder shot, was shot beside a building which was a good location because it has a suitable background and has a good shading against the sun. In the second clip, we filmed it on top of a hill and the camera man stood at the bottom of the hill to get a low shot.

During the filming we chose the three best camera angles to use within our work: a low angle of two people standing above where the camera is positioned, a high angle of one guy walking over to another and asking him the question, and an over the shoulder shot of one guy asking the other guy with the camera behind him 'What are you doing here.' I believe that we achieved each camera angle very well. The camera man also kept the camera very still throughout all three images. To improve, we could use more camera angles in our work such as: Long shots, close up shots, tracking shots and dolly shots.

For editing we used Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to cut out some of the clips so they wouldn't include our laughing. We also used Adobe Premiere Elements to add the title screen in to our piece to show what our project was called.

For filming, we used a GE digital HD video camera DV1.

To improve our film, we could use a wider variety of camera shots such as: A close up shot, where the camera is zoomed in a lot to the characters face or an object, A tracking shot, where the camera follows the character. And a long shot, where you can see everything in the scene.

and only 40%of women watch horror movies. The average age range for people watching horror films is fifteen to thirty four year olds as the table shows those ages add up to 58%. 25% of higher class people watch horror films, 19% of middle class people watch horror movies, 19% of working class watch horror films and the lower class watch horror movies the most as their percentage is at 37%.
